Casas the Hero as Longhorns Edge Otters in 13; Angels No-Hit Wranglers Through 9, Lose in 10

Chicago (UBAN) - First baseman Triston Casas had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Indianapolis Longhorns beat the Chicago Otters in 13 innings by a score of 7 to 6.
The score was tied at 5 after nine. Indianapolis won the hard fought contest in the 13th inning. After an out was recorded, Willson Contreras lined a single. Casas stepped into the batter's box and he delivered a one-base hit scoring the run. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.
Robert Suarez(2-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Suarez was helped out by Ben Joyce who recorded his 4th save. Adrian Morejon(3-1) was hit with the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 innings of work.
Indianapolis continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division leading 27-7. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. With the loss Chicago now has a record of 20-15.
In Los Angeles, Angel pitchers held the Wranglers hitless through 9 innings only to lose in the tenth by a score of 2 - 0.
No runners had crossed home plate after the regulation nine. San Antonio came out on top in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Zach McKinstry began the rally when he doubled scoring a single run and breaking the no-hitter. Cesar Salazar followed next and he banged out a single. Brenton Doyle then drew a walk to load the bases. One out later, Manny Machado stepped in and he banged out a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning. San Antonio had only 3 hits for the
afternoon.
Luke Little(1-0) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory. Devin Williams was credited with his 5th save. Tony Santillan(1-2) was charged with the loss in relief. He pitched 2 and 1/3 innings giving up 1 hit and 1 walk.
