Harper Seals the Deal with 12th Inning Slam; Longhorns Rally in 9th for 6th Straight

Vancouver (UBAN) - Jason Adam came through with a solid 3 innings and Bryce Harper recorded 4 RBI with one swing when he ripped a grand slam as the San Francisco Seals defeated the Vancouver Death Lemurs in 12 innings by the score of 5 to 2 at Death Lemur Field.

The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings. San Francisco won the game in the 12th inning. The key offensive moment was provided by Harper who quieted the crowd when he blasted a Grand Slam homerun. San Francisco totaled 9 hits on the afternoon.

The winning pitcher was Jake Cousins(2-0) who allowed 1 run in 2 innings. Yimi Garcia(0-2) was charged with the loss in relief. He gave up 2 hits and 1 walk in 1 and 1/3 innings.

With this win, San Francisco has a division leading 24-15 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With this loss, Vancouver has a 4-6 record of late, 13-24, worst in the division overall.

Second baseman Oswaldo Cabrera smacked 2 homeruns at Longhorn Stadium as the St. Louis Browns lost a heartbreaker to Indianapolis Longhorns by the score of 3 to 2.

The game was decided in the bottom of the 9th inning. Triston Casas laced a one-base hit. Nolan Gorman got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Cabrera then doubled. Pete Crow-Armstrong was up next and he was walked intentionally to load the bases. Alex Jackson came up to bat and lashed a single giving Indianapolis the victory as 40,543 happy fans celebrated wildly. Both teams totaled 8 hits on the night.

The victory was credited to Colin Holderman(1-1) who went 2 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1 run. Walter Pennington(1-1) was charged with the loss in relief.

In another of a string of victories, Indianapolis extended their winning streak to 6 games. Yadier Molina was clearly happy after the game --'Everything is clicking for us right now.'
