Alvarez Leads Braves Past Elite Giants; Kim Collects 4 Hits, 4 RBIs as Sluggers Double-Up Blues

Baltimore (UBAN) - Yordan Alvarez launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the San Diego Braves defeated the Baltimore Elite Giants by the score of 8 to 4 at Roy Campanella Field.

Alvarez had a big day with his bat. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 5th inning and belted a three-run homer in the 8th inning. San Diego totaled 12 hits on the night.

Ryan Pressly(1-1) allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Chris Bassitt(0-6) was the losing pitcher. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 4 innings of work.

San Diego now has a record of 21-22. Baltimore has a record of 14-27, worst in the division after the loss.

Shortstop Ha-Seong Kim had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Louisville Sluggers bested the New Orleans Blues 14 to 7 at The House of Blues.

Kim provided much of the offense. He delivered a single in the 3rd inning, laced a base-hit plating a run in the 4th inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 6th inning and delivered a one-base hit plating two runs in the 7th inning. The Louisville offense smacked the New Orleans pitching

staff around, scoring in 8 of the 9 innings.

Brady Singer(3-3) went 5 innings allowing 5 runs for the win. Keegan Akin recorded the save, his 2nd. Luis Severino(1-1) was tagged with the loss. He was unable to control the Louisville offense and allowed 7 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
