Nootbaar Fuels Monarchs' Comeback Win Over BPP; Skenes Deals as Sounds Score Big Against Jacks

Oakland (UBAN) - Right fielder Lars Nootbaar rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Black Panther Party Headquarters where the Kansas City Monarchs beat the Oakland Black Panther Party in 11 innings 7 to 3.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Kansas City won it in the 11th inning. The key at-bat was by Nolan Arenado who silenced the stadium when he cleared the fences for a two-run home run. Oakland was out-hit by Kansas City, 11 hits to 6.
David Bednar(4-1) went 2 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Spencer Turnbull(0-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He gave up 4 hits and no walks in 1 inning.
Paul Skenes pitched 6 strong innings and second baseman Luis Garcia had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Nashville Sounds crushed the Jacksonville Jacks 14 to 1.
The game started off with Nashville taking the lead in the first plating an isolated run using 2 hits. Garcia doubled. Carlos Correa stepped up to the plate and he doubled scoring the run. Nashville dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.
