Contreras Plates Three in 8th to Power Otters; Fulmer, Gimenez Lead Chiefs Past Aguilas

Chicago (UBAN) - William Contreras blasted a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Chicago Otters beat the San Antonio Wranglers by a score of 5 to 4.

Contreras had a big evening at the plate. He hit a single in the 2nd inning, laced a one-base hit resulting in a run in the 4th inning and launched a three-run homer in the 8th inning. Chicago rapped out 10 hits for the night.

The victory was credited to Justin Anderson(3-0) who went 2 and 2/3 innings, allowing no runs. Alexis Diaz earned his 11th save. Hunter Stratton(1-2) was the losing pitcher in relief.

In Atlanta, Andres Gimenez had 4 hits and scored 3 times as the Chiefs beat the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas by a score of 3 to 2.

Carson Fulmer(3-2) had a solid outing for Atlanta. He allowed 6 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings reducing his ERA from 2.25 to 1.85. Mexico City tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.

Fulmer was helped out by Griffin Jax who recorded his 13th save. George Kirby(5-4) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 7 hits and no walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
