Pasquantino Powers Sounds in Comeback Win; Libertore Leads 'Lemurs Past Louisville

New York (UBAN) - Vinnie Pasquantino blasted a homerun and had 4 RBI at Babe Ruth Park as the Nashville Sounds beat the New York Highlanders 5 to 4.

Pasquantino had a good day at the plate. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 1st inning and doubled bringing in two baserunners in the 7th inning. New York tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.

Shawn Dubin(4-2) got the win allowing 1 run in 3 innings. Dubin got relief help from Jhoan Duran who gained credit for his 13th save. Luis Gil(2-3) suffered the loss.

Ken Harrelson was beaming after the game, 'Not only were we making good contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to have 'eyes'! I just love winning these tight ones! It was just our day - no doubt about it!'

Matthew Liberatore came through with a solid 5 innings as the Vancouver Death Lemurs outscored the Louisville Sluggers 2 to 1.

Liberatore(2-2) delivered a fine performance for Vancouver. He was reached for 1 hit and 1 walk in 5 innings dropping his ERA from 2.73 to 2.34. The Louisville batters didn't put up a fight in the bottom of the 9th.

Cade Smith earned his 3rd save. Brady Singer(4-4) suffered the loss. He surrendered 2 runs and 8 hits in 6 and 1/3 innings.
