Cease Perfect as Sounds Land Marlins; Altuve Returns with 4 Hit Day as Highlanders Sink Seals

Nashville (UBAN) - History was made in Nashville as Dylan Cease(6-3) thrilled the crowd by tossing a perfect game and the Nashville Sounds defeated the Miami Marlins by the score of 1 to nothing.
Cease provided a brilliant, unforgettable performance for the hometown crowd at Sounds Field evening. What an evening for the fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the 7th inning on. With every out, the electricity in the air mounted. Cease mowed down 10 Miami batters. Nashville managed 7 hits in their victory.
Max Fried(3-5) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 1 run and 6 hits in 7 and 1/3 innings. 'Not in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen!' Cease said as he stood at home plate to salute the fans. 'Once I got into the later innings, I decided to challenge every hitter, and that turned out to be the right decision!'
Alec Marsh pitched 7 strong innings and Jose Altuve had 4 hits as the New York Highlanders defeated the San Francisco Seals by a score of 4 to 0 at Seals Park.
New York took the lead for keeps in the 2nd inning scoring a single run. That was all the offense they were to need. The pitchers took over after the 3rd inning as neither team was able to score again.
Marsh(7-0) went 7 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Yusei Kikuchi(4-6) took the loss. He surrendered 4 runs and 8 hits in 6 and 2/3 innings.
