Melendez Homers Twice to Lead Saints Over Aguilas; Chourio Drives in All 4 Runs in BPP Win

Salt Lake City (UBAN) - M.J. Melendez rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Saints Field where the Salt Lake City Saints beat the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas 5 to 2.
Melendez provided much of the offense. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 2nd inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 4th inning. Salt Lake City rapped out 7 hits for the night.
Zach Eflin(3-6) allowed 1 run in 5 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Eflin got help from Tanner Scott who was credited with his 12th save. The loss was charged to Jose Berrios(5-6).
Right fielder Jackson Chourio connected with a 'big fly' and had 4 RBI at Black Panther Park where the Oakland Black Panthers beat the San Francisco Seals 4 to 3.
Oakland won the game with a rally in the 8th inning scoring 3 runs using 4 hits. Joey Bart led off and started the attack as he drew a walk. Randal Grichuk followed, but he was set down on strikes. One out later, Ceddanne Rafaela then stroked a base-hit. Chourio followed and he belted a three-run homer. Spencer Turnbull(1-3) was helped out by Kirby Yates who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 8th save.
Jason Adam(1-4) was tagged with the loss in relief. He gave up 3 hits and no walks in 2/3 of an inning.
