Saints Rally to Walk-Off Wranglers in 10; Butler Shines as Colts Double Up Angels

Salt lake City (UBAN) - Catcher Freddy Fermin had 3 base hits at Saints Field where the Salt Lake City Saints beat the San Antonio Wranglers in 10 innings 4 to 3.

The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings. Finally, Salt Lake City prevailed in the 10th inning. Brayan Rocchio began the rally when he laced a base-knock. Rocchio then stole second base. Julio Rodriguez got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Fermin followed next and he lashed a single resulting in a run. Matt Olson came up to bat and would ground out making Salt Lake City victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Salt Lake City finished with 10 hits in the victory.

The win went to John King(1-1) who allowed 1 run in 2 and 1/3 innings. Ryan Thompson(2-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. With the win, Salt Lake City continued their winning ways; their streak now stands at 6 games and counting. 'It seems we can't lose these days', Tony Gwynn volunteered after the game. Then after a moment to reflect he lamented, 'Oh great! Now I've gone and jinxed us!'

Lawrence Butler had 4 hits and 5 RBI as the Dallas Colts topped the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 12 to 6 at Globe Life Field.

Butler provided much of the offense. He lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 4th inning, doubled plating a run in the 5th inning, ripped a base-knock in the 7th inning and doubled scoring two baserunners in the 8th inning. Dallas had 17 hits overall, while Los Angeles had 6.

Robbie Ray(1-3) got the win allowing 4 runs in 5 innings. Shane Baz(0-1) was the losing pitcher. He allowed Dallas 5 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings of work.

'Actually, I didn't feel that comfortable at the plate tonight' Butler said after the game. 'Despite that, I'm happy with the results!
