Olson Homers Twice as Saints Make it 8 Straight; Sluggers Slip By Stars on Herrera Blast

Salt Lake City Saints outscored the San Antonio Wranglers 3 to 0.
Olson enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the 1st inning, clubbed a solo home run in the 3rd inning and doubled in the 8th inning. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 3rd inning with no runs scored after that point.
The winning pitcher was Zach Eflin(4-6) who allowed no runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Eflin was helped out by Tanner Scott who recorded his 16th save. Sonny Gray(5-5) ended up with the loss. Despite the loss, he struckout 11 Salt Lake City batters in 7 innings.
Salt Lake City continued their winning ways, with their streak now at 8 games and counting.
Catcher Ivan Herrera connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at Sluggers Park where the Louisville Sluggers beat the Milwaukee Stars by the score of 6 to 5.
Louisville brought 4 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 6th inning when they had 3 base hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Herrera who electrified Sluggers Park when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. Both teams totaled 9 hits on the afternoon.
The win was credited to Jake Irvin(7-2) who went 6 and 1/3 innings allowing 5 runs. Joel Payamps earned the save, his 3rd. Tommy Kahnle(1-4) was the losing pitcher in relief.
Wth the win Louisville now has a record of a division leading 39-27. With the loss Milwaukee now has a record of 36-29.
