Bauers Helps Atlanta Soundly Defeat Nashville; Fitzgerald is Life of the Party at Salt Lake

Atlanta (UBAN) - Jake Bauers had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Atlanta Chiefs bested the Nashville Sounds 10 to 1 at Truist Park.

Bauers had a big day at the plate. He popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 2nd inning, delivered a single scoring two baserunners in the 5th inning, laced a one-base hit in the 7th inning and lined a base-hit in the 8th inning. Atlanta out-hit Nashville for the game, 17 hits to 4.

The winning pitcher was Bowden Francis(5-3) who allowed 1 run in 7 and 2/3 innings. The loss was charged to Hayden Birdsong(3-7). He was knocked around by Atlanta, allowing 7 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.

Shortstop Tyler Fitzgerald went yard and had 3 RBI as the Oakland Black Panther Party defeated the Salt Lake City Saints by a score of 7 to 2 at Saints Field.

Fitzgerald had a big day against Salt Lake City. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning and hit a single which was good for two runs in the 6th inning. Overall Oakland out-hit Salt Lake City 12 to 4.

Zac Gallen(8-1) allowed 2 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory. Zach Eflin(4-8) suffered the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
