Perkins Drives in Five as Alleghenys Outlast Colts; Islanders Rally for 3 in Ninth to Upend the BPP

Dallas (UBAN) - Blake Perkins had 4 hits and 5 RBI as the Pittsburgh Alleghenys defeated the Dallas Colts 11 to 9 at Globe Life Field.

Perkins had a big day at the plate. He banged out a single in the 2nd inning, doubled with all three runners coming home in the 5th inning, lined a base-hit which was good for two runs in the 6th inning and doubled in the 8th inning. The score went back-and-forth with the lead changing 6 times.

The victory went to Pierce Johnson(3-1) who went 2 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1 run. Johnson got relief help from Tayler Scott who gained credit for his 3rd save. Paul Sewald(3-2) was hit with the loss in relief.

With the crowd on their collective feet, screaming at the top of their lungs, Hawaii Islanders rallied to top Oakland Black Panther Party by the score of 5 to 4.

Hawaii had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs. After an out was recorded, Willi Castro got things rolling when he was hit by a pitch. Tyler Stephenson followed next and he drew a walk. Joey Ortiz then drew a walk to load the bases. Royce Lewis came up and he drew a walk which scored a run. Riley Adams came to the plate and drew a walk bringing in another run. Yandy Diaz contributed to the rally and slapped a single giving Hawaii the win as 45,618 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Hawaii managed 9 hits in their victory.

Justin Martinez(3-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 2/3 of an inning and allowing no runs. Kirby Yates(4-2) was given the loss in relief.

'That was exciting!,' Jurickson Profar said. 'I would have paid money to watch this one.'
