Jacks Ride Higashioka Homer to Walk-Off Win; Stars Edge Fading Bisons in 10

Jacksonville (UBAN) - Kyle Higashioka hit a homerun and had 2 RBI at Jacks Field as the Jacksonville Jacks won a thriller over the San Diego Braves in, 3 to 1.

Jacksonville had the game winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs using 2 hits. Christian Walker led off and keyed the rally when he banged out a single. Higashioka next to the plate and he bombed a two-run dinger resulting in a mighty exciting win for Jacksonville and the 30,778 home town fans in attendance. Jacksonville and San Diego each finished the night with 6 hits.

The win was credited to Edwin Diaz(3-4) who went 1 inning allowing no runs. Calvin Faucher(4-1) took the loss in relief. He pitched 2 innings giving up 1 hit and 1 walk.

David Peterson retired 11 batters on strikeouts as the Milwaukee Stars defeated the Buffalo Bisons in 10 innings by a score of 4 to 3 at Sal Maglie Stadium.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Milwaukee came out the victor in the 10th inning. One out later, Bryan Reynolds hit a sacrifice fly scoring the run. Both teams finished the game with 9 hits.

The victory went to Tim Herrin(3-2) who went 2/3 of an inning, allowing no runs. Tommy Kahnle recorded the save, his 3rd. Tyler Rogers*(3-6) was charged with the loss in relief. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
