Honolulu (UBAN) - In a game at Aloha Stadium the San Diego Braves plated 5 runs in the 5th inning and got by the Hawaii Islanders by the score of 7 to 4.
The Hawaii fans didn't appreciate the big day Ozzie Albies had. He caught a hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam homerun in the 5th inning and doubled scoring a run in the 7th inning. The Hawaii batters didn't put up a fight in the bottom of the 9th.
The victory went to Ryan Pressly(6-1) who went 2 and 1/3 innings, allowing no runs. Pressly was helped out by Josh Hader who recorded his 17th save. Sean Manaea(7-3) took the loss. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
Nick Castellanos hit a homerun and had 2 RBI at Marlins Park as the Miami Marlins pulled off dramatic comeback beating the lifeless Baltimore Elite Giants by the count of 5 to 4.
Miami came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning plating 2 runs using 2 hits. Trevor Story led off and got things going when he ripped a single. Story was safe at second on a stolen base. Zach Neto then laid down a sacrifice bunt. Leody Taveras got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Castellanos came to the plate and popped a two-run clout over the fence giving Miami the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.
Kyle Finnegan(3-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Seranthony Dominguez(2-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and no walks in 2/3 of an inning.
'That was exciting!,' Castellanos said. 'I would have paid money to watch this one.'
