Peralta Drives in 5 as Highlanders Down Stars in 11; Nimmo Sends Alleghenys to 8th Straight

June 28, 2025

Milwaukee (UBAN) - David Peralta cracked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at Miller Park where the New York Highlanders beat the Milwaukee Stars in 11 innings 9 to 7.

The score was tied at 6 after nine. New York came out on top in the 11th inning. Peralta started the attack as he bombed a two-run dinger. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.

The win went to Garrett Cleavinger(3-3) who allowed 1 run in 2 and 2/3 innings. David Robertson(1-2) was the loser in relief. He gave up 2 hits and no walks in 1 inning.

Left fielder Brandon Nimmo had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at PNC Park where the red-hot Pittsburgh Alleghenys beat the Salt Lake City Saints in 10 innings by the score of 3 to 2.

Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. Pittsburgh won the game in the 10th inning. One out later, Nimmo hit a sacrifice fly giving Pittsburgh the victory and sending the 40,672 home-town fans home happy. Pittsburgh managed only 5 hits on the night.

The victory was credited to Tayler Scott(5-2) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Blake Treinen(4-3) in relief. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 innings of work.

Pittsburgh extended their winning streak to 8 games.
