6-Run 8th Gives Islanders Win in Windy City; Atlanta Comes Back to Tie in 9, Then Win in 11

Honolulu (UBAN) - Left fielder Jurickson Profar jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI as
the Hawaii Islanders scored six times in the top of the 8th and defeated the Chicago Otters by the score of 9 to 7 at Otter Park.
Kenta Maeda(3-7) pitched good enough to get the victory in relief. He was reached for 4 hits and 1 walk in 2 and 1/3 innings and mowed down 4 Chicago batters. Although they lost, Chicago did out-hit Hawaii 11 to 8.
Maeda got help from Landen Roupp who earned his 2nd save. The loss was charged to Andrew Nardi(3-3) in relief. He gave up 3 runs and 2 hits in 1/3 of an inning.
The Atlanta Chiefs nipped the Washington Federals in 11 innings 9 to 8 at Truist Park in a hard fought contest.
The score was knotted at 6 after nine innings. Atlanta won the hard fought contest in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Andres Gimenez started the rally when he delivered a single. Jake Bauers was next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim. Pavin Smith then doubled resulting in a
mighty exciting win for Atlanta and the 40,844 home town fans in attendance. This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 5 times in all.
Tanner Rainey(2-3) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 1 and 1/3 innings. Declan Cronin(3-4) was hit with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
