Otters Blank Islanders as Glasnow K's 11; Ragans Fans 11, Shuts Down Aguilas

July 3, 2025

Chicago (UBAN) - William Contreras had 3 base hits and 3 RBI and Tyler Glasnow whiffed 11 batters at Otter Park as the Chicago Otters, running on all cylinders, ripped the Hawaii Islanders by a large 10 to 0 margin.

Glasnow(11-1) was solid in the win. He allowed only 4 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings. For the game Chicago out-hit Hawaii 19 to 6.

Sean Manaea(7-4) was hit with the loss. When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Glasnow offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout totals up there in the stands. Fortunately, I kept them busy tonight - of course, it would be all for naught without the 'W'.'

Cole Ragans dominated striking out 11 Mexico City batters as the Salt Lake City Saints defeated the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas by a score of 5 to 0 at Saints Field.

Ragans(10-2) was virtually untouchable. He didn't allow much, just 5 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings. Salt Lake City had 10 hits overall, while Mexico City had 6.

Ryan Yarbrough(3-1) was given the loss in relief. He was not very effective, surrendering 4 runs in 3 innings. 'Everything felt great' Ragans said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody tonight.'
