Monarchs Comeback to Upend Elite Giants; Bisons Exact Some Revenge Against Highlanders

Kansas City (UBAN) - Tylor Megill retired 10 batters on strikeouts and Kyle Schwarber blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Monarch Stadium as the Kansas City Monarchs came back dramatically to top the pathetic Baltimore Elite Giants by the score of 8 to 7.
Kansas City came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning plating 2 runs on 2 base hits. Jazz Chisholm led off and keyed the rally when he doubled. After an out was recorded, Schwarber stepped in and he bombed a two-run dinger resulting in an exciting win for Kansas City and a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans. For the game Kansas City out-hit Baltimore 14 to 11.
Dylan Lee(5-3) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Emmanuel Clase(1-4) was given the loss in relief. He allowed 2 hits and no walks in 1/3 of an inning.
One run was the difference at Babe Ruth Park as the Buffalo Bisons were finally were able to get back on the winner's track and defeated the New York Highlanders 5 to 4.
The game was decided in the top of the 9th inning. After two were out Jorge Polanco lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'. Clay Holmes relieved and was untouched by New York as he recorded the save, his 20th.
The victory went to Tyler Rogers*(4-6) who went 2 and 1/3 innings, allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Garrett Cleavinger(4-4) in relief. He surrendered 1 hit and no walks in 1/3 of an inning.
