Santana Homers Twice to Power Win in His Lab Rat Debut; Vientos Drives in 4 as Panther Party Downs W

Washington (UBAN) - Carlos Santana slammed 2 homeruns for his new team as the Richmond Lab Rats bested the Washington Federals 6 to 1 at Federals Park.
Zack Littell(10-5) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He didn't allow much, just 6 hits and no walks in 7 innings. Littell whiffed an impressive total of 8 Washington batters seeing his ERA drop from 3.79 to 3.53. Richmond totaled 9 hits on the night.
Bailey Falter(5-5) took the loss. He pitched 7 innings and surrendered 5 hits and 4 walks.
Mark Vientos jacked one out of the ballyard and had 4 RBI as the Oakland Black Panthers topped the San Antonio Wranglers by a score of 5 to 2 at Black Panther Park.
Oakland scored 3 runs in the decisive 3rd inning. Michael Toglia led off and started the rally when he drew a walk. One out later, Ceddanne Rafaela was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Jackson Chourio then doubled which scored a run. Vientos followed next and he cracked a two-run shot. Both teams finished the game with 6 hits.
Elvis Peguero(6-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 3 innings and allowing no runs. Kirby Yates gained credit for his 17th save. Gavin Stone(4-7) was charged with the loss. Oakland scored big getting 5 runs off him in 4 and 1/3 innings.
